Robert Half Attorney/Lawyer in San Bernardino, California
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Attorney/Lawyer based in San Bernardino, California. The selected candidate will primarily be responsible for reviewing records and handling cases on the defense side, with a focus on workers' compensation. This role is open to candidates who may not have prior experience in the workers' comp practice, as training will be provided. The role will be mostly based in the office, with potential for remote work for more experienced candidates.
Responsibilities:
• Review and evaluate workers' compensation cases
• Represent the defense side in workers' compensation cases
• Utilize case management software and legal software to manage and organize cases
• Conduct legal research using tools such as LexisNexis
• Prepare and present briefings on case status and outcomes
• Handle civil litigation related to workers' compensation cases
• Address and resolve complaints related to workers' compensation cases
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation related to cases
• Stay updated with changes in workers' comp law
• Manage workers' compensation claims and cases effectively. Requirements
• Must hold a valid license to practice law in California
• At least one year of professional experience as an attorney or lawyer
• Proficiency in using Case Management Software
• Demonstrable experience with legal software tools
• Familiarity with LexisNexis for legal research and case preparation
• Must possess experience in managing legal cases using a Management System
• Ability to prepare legal briefings and manage civil litigation cases
• Experience in handling complaints and resolving disputes
• Excellent documentation skills for maintaining case files and legal records
• Knowledge of Workers Comp Law and experience in handling Workers Compensation cases.
