Job Title: Electromechanical Assembly Technician

Job Description

As an Electromechanical Assembly Technician, you will be pivotal in assembling, inspecting, and testing various subassemblies by hand using tools like screwdrivers, wrenches, and power drills. You will be responsible for following detailed work instructions via a manufacturing execution system, completing tasks, and documenting every step to maintain an electronic device history record. Key responsibilities include wiring and harnessing modules and PCBAs, installing firmware, and conducting functional software tests to ensure product quality. You will participate in daily stand-up meetings, receive assignments, and collaborate closely with technicians during your initial training period.

Hard Skills

  • Proficient with screwdrivers, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, torque wrenches, needle nose pliers, small power tools

  • Ability to navigate and operate computers effectively, including software like Outlook and Microsoft Teams

  • Experience with data entry in manufacturing execution systems, specifically 42Q

  • Familiarity with electronic testing and troubleshooting

Soft Skills

  • Strong ability to follow detailed work instructions

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

  • Capable of documenting and tracking work meticulously

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in San Diego, California.

Work Environment

You will work in an ESD environment requiring lab coats and shoe covers. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. Initial training is on the first shift, with a transition to the second shift starting around June, where flexibility is required.
