We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our team at Grundfos and contribute to our mission of innovation and sustainability .

What is the job about?

The CI Specialist is responsible for the implementation and monitoring of Lean Manufacturing tools and systems for the improvement of processes in the different pillars as the EHS, Quality, Supply Chain, Production and personnel organization, according to the Group's standards. This team member also promotes and participate in compliance with internal rules in terms of SQDC. This position reports directly to APU Manager and will operate daily Onsite in our San Luis Potosí, MX facilities.

Your main responsibilities :

  • Improve and mature the continuous improvement system according to the objectives of the deployment of the annual “GPS Assessment” strategy.

  • Develop the knowledge of the employees in the Grundfos Production System (GPS) tools according to the needs of the organizations.

  • Support kaizen events, assist Kaizen leader for work shop and action plan deployment. Lead will depend as per assignment from APU Manager

  • Implement & support in the GPS tools as TPM, Jidoka, Standard Work, 5's, VSM, DAM, APT, Visual Management, Problem Solving, Kaizen, Improvement Proposal and Pull system.

  • Measure cycle times for SAP routings and with CI coordinator Update it, promote improvent actions.

  • Participate in to multi skills evaluations for shopfloor employees.

  • Improvement projects to achieve or improve the APU indicators.

  • Weekly reports on the performance of the 5s, TPM and APT systems.

Your background :

We imagine that you have:

  • Industrial Engineer, Mechanic, Electrician, Electronic, Mechatronic or Related degree/

  • 4 years’ experience in the same position or as a Lean Manufacturing Engineer / Process Engineer .

  • Lean Manufacturing Certification.

  • Conversational English skills

  • Methods Engineering knowledge (time & method, line balance)

  • Quality systems knowledge (ISO 9001)

  • Environment systems basic knowledge (ISO 14001)

  • Basics on safety and ergonomics
