About the role

This role will be leading strategic projects and assisting in project development and execution for new factory options within our current product line. This involves ensuring compliance with safety and performance requirements (such as UL and AHRI standards) for CML & LCML products. You will play a crucial role in meeting the technical needs of our customers through collaboration with the Marketing, Engineering & Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Sr Special Projects Engineer you’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing and designing new product application for Strategic accounts / Special Projects.

  • Identifying and developing cost effective design and applications.

  • Developing and manage laboratory qualification programs for sustaining changes.

  • Working with others on design teams to understand and translate design and process engineering requirements into product line design components, subsystems and products.

  • Ability to understand product/component function, reliability and quality requirements

  • Supporting modifications, updates, improvements, and product optimization activities.

  • You focus will be on meeting the specific requirements of our Strategic accounts/ Special projects for the following: HVAC Control, Electrical design, HVAC systems application, General Product Design, Project/Engineering Management, Program Management.

Requirements

We are looking for people who have familiarity with the design and development of packaged HVAC systems. And someone who has experience with micro and macro project manager and influential. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in the area.

  • Advanced English.

  • Self-starter with ability to learn quickly and work independently under low direction and be mentored by a manager level engineer on a daily basis.

  • Ability to write technical specifications

  • Controls system operation knowledge

  • Strong communicational skills with proven ability to interact with cross functional team of engineering, design, manufacturing and lab team members.

  • Ability to understand product/component function, reliability and quality requirements

  • Understand electronic controls function in HVAC equipment

  • Electrical and electromagnetic mechanism knowledge.

  • A basic knowledge of Heat transfer and thermodynamic cycle.

  • Some experience with vapor-compression refrigeration systems including related components: heat exchangers and compression technologies.

  • Some software programming experience

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • Knowledge of Controls system operation is a strong differentiator.

  • Experience on Communication Protocols (Backnet, Modbus)

  • Experience programming PLC System, Labview

  • Experience in thermo-fluid system control development
