ManpowerGroup Materials Engineer in Santa Clarita, California
Our client, a leader in the materials engineering industry, is seeking a Materials Engineer to join their team. As a Materials Engineer, you will be part of the laboratory team supporting various engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Materials Engineer
Location: Santa Clarita, CA
Pay Range: $25/hr. - $40/hr. DOE
What's the Job?
Perform laboratory analysis on engine components using specialized equipment.
Prepare metallurgical samples for failure analysis investigations, including cutting, mounting, grinding, polishing, and etching.
Compile standard reports on metallurgical findings and assist in recommending corrective actions for failed components.
Maintain laboratory and analytical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Conduct microscopic and macroscopic examinations on metallic and non-metallic samples.
What's Needed?
1-2 years of relevant experience in materials engineering or a related field.
Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions and procedures.
Willingness to learn safe handling of laboratory equipment and chemicals.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
