Position Overview:
Nuclear Medicine Technologist II will assist in the organization, supervision and training activities of the technical operation.
Job Description :
EDUCATION
Completion of a nuclear medicine technologist training program
Completion of radiologic technologist training program with NMTCB or ARRT(N).
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
ARRT - Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire
OR NMT-Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Upon Hire
California Department of Public Health- Nuclear Medicine Technologist License/permit plus Venipuncture Upon Hire
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider within 60 Days of hire
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
One year experience in an acute care hospital is preferred, which may include clinical hours during technologist training program.
3-5 years clinical nuclear medicine experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Other Duties/Skill Sets
Sound understanding of anatomical positioning.
Demonstrates the ability to analyze difficult situations, react properly and interact effectively with the departments, medical, technical and clerical staff
Demonstrates commitment to service excellence and problem solving
Manages and communicates confidential patient information.
In strict conformance with departmental and SMCSR HlPAA policy
Good oral and written communication skills
Assist with patient/procedure scheduling.
Explains nature of exam to patients to ensure cooperation.

Pay Range is $60.31 to $74.98 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
