Certifications/Qualifications:
NYS Certification Students with Disabilities
Experience teaching / working in an elementary school setting preferred
Applicants should feel comfortable working with students who struggle with emotional regulation and behavior management
Preferred candidate has a positive attitude towards learning and is able to build good relationships with children, teachers and staff at school
Candidate must be flexible, pleasant, patient, compassionate and work as a team player
Candidate should have a strong understanding of behavioral interventions and supports
Must have an understanding of the New York State Learning Standards
Willingness to collaborate with Professional Learning Teams is necessary
Tenure track position
Salary per the SSTA contract
