Aerotek Refrigeration Mechanic in Savannah, Georgia
Job Description
Refrigeration Mechanic:
Working on the Thermo King units on trailers.
Cold storage units on tractor trailers for distribution of cold products
Will do PM, maintenance, and repairs.
Experience with:
HVAC Units
AC in vehicles
Electrical experience
Pay Ranges:
$20hr for entry level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude.
Midrange pay: HVAC Techs, Refrigeration techs, etc...
$35for candidates that have worked on ThermoKing units specifically
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance & service inspections on a variety of transport refrigeration units (TRU) & auxiliary power units (APU)
Perform diagnostic, repair work on mobile refrigeration equipment, auxiliary power units & heater equipment
Follow established technical & administrative processes
Complete repair orders & parts usage forms
Communicate effectively with supervisor, team members & customers
Remain current on technical & regulation requirements
Perform road service calls as required
Position Requirements:
Experience in the field of transport refrigeration equipment (Thermo King or Carrier Transicold preferred) installation and/or repair
Skills to sufficiently install, diagnose, and repair refrigeration equipment
Demonstrate technical knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, materials, methods & equipment to perform, prioritize and complete job assignments.
Own & maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions
High school diploma or equivalent, technical trade school a plus
Proficient with computer operation/usage
Valid driver’s license
