DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary Duties & Responsibilities * Applying contemporary software solutions and techniques to implement changes and improvements to manufacturing automation and data systems, * Developing professional skills and knowledge in areas adjacent to software and automation to ensure projects and solutions meet the needs of the manufacturing floor, * Providing analysis of possible paths to a solution and advising on the best approaches, * Exercising sound technical judgement, * Presenting and discussing results with colleagues, and * Fostering productive professional relationships.
Education & Experience * Applicants must be undergraduate seniors who are scheduled to graduate by December 2024 or May 2025.
Skills * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and cooperatively with others. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Strong verbal and written communication skills * High attention to detail and organizational skills * Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship * Experience with modern programming languages such as Python, C#, .NET, LabView, Unity, * Experience with SQL or similar databases a plus * Experience with programmable controller configuration a plus
Working Conditions * Work environment can range from office to lab to manufacturing floor. * Work involving small to large equipment.
Physical Requirements * Able to perform physical tasks in various positions: standing, crouching, kneeling, reaching * Requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer * Perform occasional lab or bench-level test work as needed
