Intern, Document Control - 2006994 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary Duties & Responsibilities Intern will assist in the new part creations of the department within ERP system. Assist in the process of Engineering Change Notices (ECN). Communicate and provide follow-through when necessary to the shop floor. Maintain the active and obsolete drawing files containing customer supplied, OEM and Coherent generated drawings. Maintain all engineering specification sheets in proper filing. Assist the supervisor on data cleanup within the department which can include ERP or electronic filing. Education & Experience * High school graduate or college student with strong math skills. * Technical background helpful in understanding technical concepts and drawings. * Individual must be able to read and interpret customer supplied optical drawings in accordance with military specifications and ANSI standards Skills * Must be able to use Microsoft Office Applications * Strong analytical and math skills. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Must be both team-oriented and self-motivated. * Must be highly organized. * Must be a US citizen (ITAR products) Working Conditions * Normal Office conditions with exposure to the shop floor Physical Requirements * High mental and visual concentration needed during all other phases of job duties Safety Requirements All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
