SUMMARY We are currently working with a southern Butler County based contract manufacturer to identify a skilled Project Manager with manufacturing experience. For over 55 years, this full-service manufacturer has been producing products and components for multiple industries to include aerospace/defense, medical, transportation, energy, and other markets. They offer a family friendly and relaxed environment. Their smaller size of approximately 100 employees allows them to offer more flexibility to their employees in comparison to larger organizations. 

This position is open due to growth and the need to add another project team (a project manager and a project administrative assistant) to support existing and sustain future growth. This is a great opportunity for an assistant project manager to take the next step up in their career, as the new project team will have the opportunity to work with and learn from the existing team.

This is a salaried direct hire opportunity offering a competitive base wage, full benefits package, and a Monday -- Friday daylight schedule. 

POSITION Reporting to a VP of Sales & Marketing, in summary, as the Project Manager (PM) you'll have oversight of all designated projects, from coordination of cost estimating, acceptance / project setup, to the management of the overall delivery of each project. And as the main internal contact for designated projects, you'll present project status to stakeholders, coordinate the project change process, manage internal & external expectations, escalate issues that impact timing and budget to management, and identify opportunities for process improvements and lessons learned upon completion. Overall, you'll take ownership of achieving project metrics that contribute to company KPI's and customer satisfaction.

BASE REQUIREMENTS *•    3+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment.  •    Knowledge of ISO / Experience with quality system documentation practices. •    Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software. * NICE TO HAVES •    Machining / Contract Manufacturing industry experience. •    Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline. •    PMP (Project Management Professional) certification. •    Knowledge of AS9100 and FDA concepts & guidelines. •    Experience with Pro Engineering or Autodesk Inventor. •    Experience with Microsoft Project.
