JOB REQUIREMENTS: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. The general purpose of the Extrusion Press Hot Saw Inspector (Extrusion B) is to work as part of the extrusion team, running the extrusion saw safely and efficiently. Operates the extrusion saw in a safe productive manner, making sure to not overload part cradles or damage parts during the stacking process. Measure and examine extruded products during routine quality checks with the intent to locate defects and check part conformance to specifications found on blueprints. Determine setup procedures according to specifications, and document any inconsistencies or changes. Perform daily and weekly preventative maintenance on the extrusion saw and press area. (Ex. Monitor oil levels, change and replace worn tooling, basic cleaning). Accurately use ERP system to document machine rates, scrap rates, material usage to facilitate an efficient and lean production environment. Communicate within the team or organization using email to discuss changes in production schedule or machine issues. Operate cranes and forklifts to move raw material and tooling when needed. Be able to perform duties and responsibilities of Extrusion C as needed to cover vacation, absences, breaks, etc. In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for: Performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Federal, State, and local standards and regulations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, talk, and use hands to handle, or touch objects or controls. Perform repetitive motion of fingers, hands, wrists, shoulders and upper body. The employee is regularly required to walk, and reach with hands and arms. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste and smell. The employee must frequently lift up 10 to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 to 100 pounds.
