Gourmet Mushrooms, Inc Harvest in Scottville, Michigan
Job Summary: To learn and follow all SOPs for harvesting. Follow all safety regulations. Harvest and package all mushrooms under the GMI/Food Safety guidelines promptly. Follow correct labeling and traceability standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up and tear down of Harvest carts and sanitation standards
- Harvest all mushrooms to quality standards in a fast-paced setting
- Be able to hit and maintain a set cut rate per mushroom
- To label and fill out proper paperwork daily as needed
- Daily practice of Safety and Food safety requirements is a MUST
- Help in other Departments when available and directed by Supervisor/Management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Able to climb stairs, bend, twist and lift 35+ pounds daily
- On feet standing all day in a controlled environment (Temps and humidity)
- Basic math and reading skills and Comprehension
- Able to learn all the mushrooms and maturity levels.
Minimum Starting Wage - $14.00/hr with possible increase after 90 days.
