Amazon Inventory Planner II, Amazon Manufacturing Services in Seattle, Washington

Description

The Manufacturing Production Planner will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to ensure timely delivery of products. This role involves collaborating with various departments to optimize production processes, manage inventory levels, and ensure efficient use of resources.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize manufacturing efficiency.

  • Coordinate with procurement, production, and sales departments to ensure seamless workflow and communication.

  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, and adjust production plans as needed.

  • Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

  • Work closely with the production team to resolve any issues or delays in the manufacturing process.

  • Prepare and present regular reports on production status, inventory levels, and other key performance indicators.

  • Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to implement process improvements and new product introductions.

  • Manage and update the production planning system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data.

  • Forecast production needs based on sales trends, market analysis, and customer orders.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of relevant job experience in production planning.

  • Proven experience in production planning, manufacturing, or supply chain management.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials management, and inventory control.

  • Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience using enterprises systems, such as SAP, to plan and report production schedules.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials management, and inventory control.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices is a plus.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $57,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $123,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
