ANCHOR QEA, LLC Senior Environmental Planner in Seattle, Washington

Title: Senior Environmental Planner Location: Seattle, Washington Job Type: Regular Full-time What's the Opportunity? This position involves being a key member of project teams, assisting with developing planning and permitting strategies, schedules, and supporting documents, including studies (such as technical reports, environmental assessments, and environmental impact statements), and permit applications. This role also overall project management, overseeing project tasks, and working with other staff to develop project deliverables. Responsibilities: Contribute to developing and implementing comprehensive environmental compliance strategies, preparation of application materials, and acquisition of environmental permits and approvals; prepare land use and development code documentation; develop Washington State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) and/or National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance documentation; manage permitting projects and/or oversee related tasks and deliverables, including overseeing project teams; interface with clients, agencies, other consultants, and the public; support development and management of scopes, budgets, and schedules and proposals. What Are We Looking For? Ideal candidates will have the following: Bachelor's degree 8+ years of experience in environmental permitting and planning Experienced in developing applications and obtaining federal, state, or local environmental permits in Washington state Experienced in developing environmental documentation related to SEPA and/or NEPA compliance Excellent written and verbal communication Ability to work independently and well in a team environment Able to effectively workload balance when needed Experience with the following is a plus: Knowledge of Oregon state and local permitting (e.g., Oregon Goal 5 and significant natural resource assessments, City of Portland Environmental Zone compliance, Washington critical areas ordinance) Oregon land use planning development code compliance Conducting surveys for protected plants, wildlife, and/or fish Conducting wetland delineations Conducting habitat assessments and special status habitat inventories What Can You Expect?
