*DOCUSIGN, INC. IN SEATTLE, WA SEEKS Sr. Software Engineer (JOB CODE IMP610) * TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING JOB DUTIES:Design, build, enhance and operate observability code and infrastructure. Develop tools, dashboards, alerts, and training that quickly arm developers with deeper insights into application performance and service health issues reducing their mean time to resolution. Participate in Infrastructure projects that improve observability tools and platforms: metrics, dashboarding, alerting, logging, application performance management, blackbox monitoring, and distributed tracing. Design and provide operational and infrastructural requirements that promote uptime, speed, and security at all phases of software development life cycle for globally deployed services. Collaborate with various technical teams to incorporate strong reliability and observability practices in our development life cycle and mitigate risks to availability. Execute projects with automation mindset, infrastructure as code and at scale deployment in the cloud. Exhibit a customer-centric approach to requests and responses, collaborate with other members for practical and scalable solutions to problems. Engage in on-call support with rotation schedule with other team members.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
*Education: *Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or foreign equivalent.
Experience: *3 years of work experience in the position offered or in a software development-related occupation. *Alternative: Will accept Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in the position offered or in a software development-related occupation.
Experience to include:
- Software and systems engineering, operating systems, networking concepts and security;
- One of the following languages: Java, C, Python, or Go;
- Operating complex distributed systems;
- Production or enterprise level experience with observability engineering;
- Modern observability tooling (DataDog, Splunk, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Jaeger, or Grafana);
- Cloud provider experience, such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform;
- Using configuration management tools at scale such as Ansible or Puppet;
- Infrastructure automation and CI/CD, including Terraform, Jenkins, and Github Actions.
Salary: * Washington Pay Range: *$205,000 -$225,000 per year base salary + corporate benefits
