Amazon Sr. Supply Chain Manager, Books in Seattle, Washington

Description

The US and CA Amazon Books Operations team is looking for a customer-focused, driven and analytical leader to build and execute a strategic, cross-functional roadmap related to buying and forecasting. This role provides the opportunity to work with global teams and ability to influence cross-marketplace initiatives.

The Sr. Supply Chain Manager will own a roadmap that aims to drive supply chain efficiencies and maximize sales, margin and turns, working in a consultation capacity. This role is critical to manage and optimize a complex procurement system and prevent out of stocks. The ideal candidate is able to lead and influence both internal and external teams in an ambiguous environment, while maintaining a customer-centric approach.

Key job responsibilities

  • Build technical expertise in supply chain optimization systems

  • Build and execute a strategic, cross-functional roadmap related to buying and forecasting

  • Leverage new and existing mechanisms to manage your roadmap

  • Work and liaise with internal, external, and partner stakeholders

  • Leverage data to make recommendations and decisions in order improve the customer experience

  • Own multiple projects domestically and in a WW setting

  • Set goals and manage performance against key operational metrics

  • Deliver results vs team goals

  • Write documents to support the progress of your roadmap

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of with Excel experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience delivering results by partnering with and influencing others

  • Experience owning an end to end program strategy, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL

  • Experience leading process improvement, systems development, and project management

  • Bachelor's degree in operations, supply chain or logistics

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
