(every other weekend & every other holiday)
Responsibilities:
Provide detailed teaching to guide patients and families through care episodes and transitions.
Support the development of students, new staff, and colleagues; serve as a preceptor if needed.
Demonstrate critical thinking to identify clinical, social, safety, psychological, and spiritual issues.
Communicate effectively with care providers and recommend changes in patient care and unit practices.
Ensure comprehensive patient documentation to promote caregiver communication.
Create a compassionate, patient-focused experience by building healing relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
Participate in unit-based shared governance, goal setting, and support changes to improve care quality and the practice environment.
Adapt to change and demonstrate flexibility with the change process.
RN experience strongly preferred
Pre-hospital (EMT, paramedic) experience preferred
Critical thinking skills
Mobility and visual manual dexterity.
Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting and positioning of patients.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
NIH Stroke Scale (NIH)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Registered Nurse (RN) OR Temporary Practice Permit (TPP)
Act 33 with renewal
Act 34 with renewal
Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
