Need 4 full time, temporary, seasonal Ag. Equipment Operators to work in Shakopee, MN. From: 03/01/2024 to 12/01/2024 Work: 48 hrs./week, Mon.-Sat. 8 hrs./day, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The hours may vary during different times of the crop season. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. All work performed in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Must Apply By: 07/17/2024 JOB DUTIES: Load and unload crops or containers of materials, manually or using conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, or transfer augers. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions. Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery. Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment. Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools. Operate towed machines such as seed drills or manure spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust, and spray crops. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers. Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Crops: Corn, Soybeans JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum three (3) months experience. Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 60 lbs. Able to work in extreme temperatures, with extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, frequent stooping, and repetitive movements. Must have or be able to obtain driver's license (Class D) within 30 days of hire. Random drug screening post hire at employer's expense due to liability of operating heavy equipment and trucks on public roads. Criminal background check post hire at employer's expense due to children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
