From capital goods to cuts of meat, ingredients, packaging, technology and more, Johnsonville\'s procurement team is responsible for sourcing a wide variety of materials for the organization\'s use throughout its operations. As a purchasing Member, you\'ll work with other teams across many company functions to develop new Johnsonville products. Johnsonville, LLC Posting Buyer (Ingredients) Position Overview: Johnsonville, LLC, a strong, high-growth company, has an opportunity for a results driven and detailed oriented professional to be responsible for the tactical sourcing function for all ingredients used within the company, and other miscellaneous materials as deemed appropriate. This position will interact cross-functionally, primarily with R&D, Scheduling, and with our supply base. Flexible Work Schedule: Opportunity for Hybrid schedule after training; Summer Hours Available Memorial Day through Labor Day (half day Fridays) Responsibilities: * Purchase the optimum quantity of ingredients for each facility to fulfill our customers\' demands. * Purchase the necessary materials and services as required by our customers in a timely manner. * Professionally, creatively, and ethically negotiate with suppliers to obtain the optimum value. * Optimize the level of our ingredient inventories to maximize inventory turns, minimize obsolescence, and reduce the risk of stock-outs. * Be involved in periodic business reviews and supplier scorecard process with strategic suppliers to gauge performance and set measurements for success. * Develop and enhance long-term supplier relationships within a win-win environment. * Provide forecasts to our suppliers on a regular basis. * Participate in cross functional teams responsible for developing and delivering new products that support Johnsonville\'s innovation pipeline * Ensure continuity of supply and recommend alternates to avoid supply disruptions. * Collaborate with internal and external customers along with our suppliers to ensure proper supply and quality standards. * Gather the appropriate documentation for raw materials and store it in the appropriate repository. * Perform other duties as assigned Date: June 18, 2024 Location: Global Sausage Headquarters, Sheboygan Falls, WI (Our office is about an hour north of Milwaukee) Coach: Supplier Development Coordinator (We don\'t have bosses at Johnsonville.
