Purchasing Agent / Buyer Responsibilities: - Utilizing material resource planning software to buy all raw materials required for daily operations - Managing purchase orders, overseeing, shipping scheduled and maintaining purchase records - Using quarterly and annual data to determine purchasing needs and performing inventory management - Interacting with suppliers to schedule delivery time and resolve shipping errors - Maintaining cordial working relationship with vendors and supervising vendor activities - Working with procurement manager to run the purchasing department - Performing vendor research and selection to enhance profitability, reduce operating costs, and boost efficiency - Monitoring vendor performance - Identifying beneficial purchase agreements ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: - High School Diploma or equivalent; degree in logistics, purchasing and supply preferred - 2-3 years of experience in industrial / manufacturing organization - Knowledge of purchasing functions, inventory and supply management systems - Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently - Strong organizational skills - Understanding of sourcing and maintaining vendors - Ability to use purchasing software - Proficient in analytics reporting and data analysis ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: E-Mail a Rsum: sheboyganresumes@qpsemployment.com Apply Online: https://jobs.qpsemployment.com/jobs/737087 This position is listed by a private employment agency.
