Responsibilities

Job Summary

Performs diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under the direction of a licensed physician. Work includes but is not limited to (1) reviewing and/or recording pertinent patient history and supporting clinical data; (2) preparing patients for testing (3) performing appropriate clinical procedures and obtaining a record of anatomical, pathological, and/or physiological data for interpretation by a physician; (4) participating in interventional cardiovascular catheterization and/or cardiac electrophysiology procedures, including balloon angioplasty, stent insertion, radiofrequency ablation, and pacemaker and/or implantable defibrillator insertion (5) compiling a foundation of data that is interpreted by physicians in order to make a correct anatomic, physiologic, and pathologic diagnosis for each patient.

Incumbents are also accountable for; keeping abreast of FHS standards, protocols and procedures relating to the department; keeping skills current; demonstrating evidence of continuing education to include department meetings, individualized learning opportunities from Cardiologist and related classes.

Essential Job Functions

  • Prepares equipment/room to capture appropriate image per physicians' direction and in adherence to department protocols.

  • Delivers patient care for all age groups while performing exams/procedures.

  • Maintains records and logs as required by department protocols and licensure requirements.

  • Performs incidental general office duties to include but not limited to answering phones inventory management inventory/stocking of equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, and one year of recent related work experience which may be obtained through practical education/training; OR

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology

License/Certification:

  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist 1 (RCIS) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), and license to practice in the state of Washington, OR

  • American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT), and State of Washington Certification.

  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.

  • Current American Heart Association ACLS Certification.

  • Cardiovascular Technologist Cert must possess Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

Pay Range

$40.02 - $59.66 /hour
