· Parker Meggitt Simi Valley Fire, Safety, and Power Division site is a fully integrated location with product responsibility from Marketing and Engineering through Supplier Management, Program Management, and Manufacturing, ending with delivery to the customers.

· Parker Meggitt is a worldwide leader in multiple Commercial and Military Aerospace product lines, including Fire and Smoke Detection and Extinguishing systems, Bleed Air Overheat detection systems, Actuators, Rudder Pedal Assemblies, Pumps, Fuel Gauging Systems, High-Temperature cables, and more.

· Parker Meggitt – Simi Valley, CA is also a key supplier to select Energy markets, including Nuclear gas Analyzers and Nuclear containment vessel penetration Cables. We work directly with the largest global aerospace companies, including Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, Lockheed Martin, and many others.

Based in Simi Valley, California, the Division Materials Manager provides leadership of the materials function for the Division, to include materials planning; scheduling; inventory control; and logistics.

SCOPE/SUPERVISION AND INTERACTION:

Work with suppliers, business unit managers, purchasing, production planners, I/T and other appropriate resources to strategically plan and coordinate the flow of materials and information from customers through procurement to delivery. Matrix management responsibilities with business units and support groups for production planning, shipping, receiving and inventory functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Lead and manage all materials management activities including master production scheduling, material planning, SIOP, inventory control, and logistics.

· Accountable for division materials metrics and Standards of Performance.

· Help define and implement automated systems to plan and track material flow from customers through procurement to delivery to support a supply chain management strategy.

· Ensure all the division’s material management policies are consistent with the inventory control objectives of the Corporation.

· Advise on supplier managed inventory or supplier-based contracts with customers.

· Support internal or external audit requirements relative to the planning, procurement or inventory control functions.

· Prepare and manage department budget within established guidelines.

· Effectively create and sustain procurement to delivery material and system cost reduction programs.

· Provide professional development for all materials team members. Explain and support company policies and procedures.

· Actively support and implement lean principles at the division. Facilitate Kanban, materials requirement planning technique, throughout division.

Requirements

· Bachelors degreein business, engineering, or materials management required with certification in materials management and quality preferred.

· Minimum of 10 years applicable materials management experience in a world-class, high volume aerospace manufacturing environment.

· Extensive managerial experience in state-of-the-art materials management systems including supply chain management, cash flow and asset management, JIT, MRPII, cellular manufacturing

· APICS/CPM certification preferred.

· Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities.

· Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts. Working knowledge of Microsoft PC software (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and presentations).

WORK AUTHORIZATION: This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore, a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. U.S. Citizenship/Permanent Resident is required for most positions. Salary range: $113,579 - $156,200 - $198,823
