Role Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing : Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, leveraging data analytics to identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms and agreements. Drive cost savings and quality improvements through effective supplier selection and management.

  • Supplier Performance Management : Implement robust processes for monitoring and evaluating supplier performance against key metrics such as quality, delivery reliability, and responsiveness. Take proactive measures to address any issues and optimize supplier relationships to ensure consistent supply chain efficiency.

  • Risk Management : Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to anticipate and address potential disruptions in the supply chain. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess risks related to supplier dependencies, market fluctuations, and geopolitical factors, ensuring business continuity and resilience.

Role Purpose:

  • Driving Operational Excellence : The primary purpose of this role is to drive operational excellence within the procurement function by optimizing sourcing processes, enhancing supplier relationships, and mitigating supply chain risks. By executing strategic sourcing initiatives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, the role contributes to the organization's overall efficiency and competitiveness.

  • Enabling Strategic Growth : Another key purpose is to enable strategic growth by aligning procurement activities with the organization's business objectives and project requirements. Through effective supplier selection, negotiation, and performance management, the role supports the scalability and sustainability of the business, facilitating expansion into new markets and opportunities.

  • Enhancing Stakeholder Value : Ultimately, the role aims to enhance stakeholder value by delivering cost-effective sourcing solutions, ensuring supply chain resilience, and driving innovation through strategic supplier partnerships. By optimizing procurement practices and maximizing value from supplier relationships, the role contributes to the achievement of broader organizational goals and objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Diploma program in engineering, supply chain management, or a related field, demonstrating a commitment to learning and professional development.

  • Possessing basic technical knowledge and displaying eagerness to understand and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements, essential for effective procurement processes.

  • Demonstrating an analytical mindset and openness to learning data analysis for informed decision-making, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers. Additionally, familiarity or interest in Power BI is advantageous.
