The Team

S&P Global Market Intelligence’s Credit & Risk Solutions (C&RS) business unit powers credit and risk management workflows by bringing together cutting-edge analytics, differentiated data, technology and workflow solutions to help our customers stay ahead of the competition, pinpoint risk exposures and spot the right opportunities in an unpredictable market environment.

Our capabilities span Credit Risk (Credit Ratings and Research from S&P Global Ratings, Probability of Default and Loss Given Default scoring models, etc); Market Risk (Traded Market Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk, Regulatory Risk Capital, derivative valuations adjustments (XVA) and Buy Side Risk) and; Third Party Risk Management (vendor risk management solutions).

The Role

You will join a specialist sales team renowned for the strength and track record of its members. As a member of the Asia Pacific C&RS sales organization, you will leverage your subject matter expertise in risk management and regulatory compliance in the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM)/vendor risk space to support revenue growth in the region.

Core Responsibilities

  • Revenue Generation - Drive ambitious sales growth, meeting or exceeding your new business sales quota for our vendor risk management solutions in the ASEAN region

  • Client Engagement - Develop and nurture strong client relationships spanning all parts of the client organization involved in decision making, be it, key user groups, Senior Management, ‘C-Suite’, Board Members

  • Market Outreach & Feedback - Optimize revenue by prioritizing opportunities and engaging clients proactively through networking and methodical outreach campaigns, marketing strategies, account planning with sales peers, Account Managers, etc. Contribute to the business strategy through a deep understanding of and keeping up to date with key industry news and events involving clients and prospects alike, macro/ market trends / regulations impacting local markets and keeping abreast of our competitive landscape

  • Global & Stakeholder Collaboration - Arrange regular cadence with regional and global peers to support sales initiatives and sharing of best practices and user cases; liaise with peers and senior stakeholders (Sales & Marketing, Business Line, Support teams, etc) regarding technical challenges and, market/client feedback loop

  • Pipeline & Activity Management - Provide timely and accurate pipeline updates and revenue forecasts and maintain opportunity pipelines, leads management and sales activity in Salesforce.com.

Core Skills and Requirements

You are a results-driven, sales professional with a strong understanding of the risk management and TPRM workflows and comparative solutions – on the client side or in a Product or Commercial role for a market provider – who can actively seek out and engage prospects across various client segments, particularly with Financial Institutions in the ASEAN region. We are looking for:

  • Minimum 12 years of solution or software sales experience selling into the institutional financial markets and multinational corporations

  • A comprehensive understanding of TPRM regulations / guidelines / workflows gained via experience at financial institutions, asset managers or financial data / technology firms is highly desirable

  • A strong network of senior contacts in ASEAN financial markets is highly preferable

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, active listening, and confidence in delivering product demonstrations are essential

  • Interest in solving problems for clients through the delivery of financial solutions and analytical tools

  • Strong personal integrity and a confident and positive manner

  • Entrepreneurial mindset; demonstrates drive, initiative, energy, and sense of urgency

  • Work effectively in a team-based environment as well as independently

  • Desire and flexibility to learn and grow in an ever-changing environment

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. MBA/CFA/CMA/MAppFin is a plus
