ASM Global Police Officer in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enforcing laws and venue policies.

  • Ensuring the safety and security of the public by responding to emergencies, aiding victims, and reducing or preventing involvement in crime.

  • Conducts routine venue walks to ensure public safety during events.

  • Interacts with the public and all levels of management and fellow employees.

  • Secures the safety of all individuals on the premises.

  • Works independently to judge and assess situations for immediate response.

  • Creating community awareness by using crime prevention methods or intervention initiatives.

  • Notifies appropriate members of management or emergency systems when necessary.

  • Completes incident reports and logs as required.

  • Responds immediately to emergency situations.

  • Conducting investigations by interviewing suspects, witnesses, and collecting evidence during all event disturbances.

  • Processing incident reports with accurate detail and information.

  • Strong negotiation and adjudicating skills.

  • Developed analysis skills for researching and investigating.

  • Ensure the implementation of standard security protocols.

Education/Experience:

  • Must be currently employed with the Sioux Falls Police Department and/or a law enforcement agency.

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • One year of security experience in a similar environment preferred.
