Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Campus events and snow removal could require alternate schedules.

Position Summary Information

Position Summary

Mowing turf with rotary push and riding mowers, string trimmers

Tree trimming and removal using chainsaws and hand trimming equipment

General landscaping including: tree, flower and shrub planting, seeding and mulching

Patching potholes and repairs to roads

Snow removal

Trash pick up

Use of pickup trucks, dump trucks, box trucks, cargo vans, golf carts, utility carts, street sweeper and other various equipment

Marking athletic fields

Delivering supplies/equipment to campus locations, moving furniture within offices/ buildings

Maintenance and repair of mowers, trimmers and other equipment

Employee must hold a valid drivers license to operate any state owned vehicle or equipment

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction. A successful campus interview and passing a criminal background check required.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to applicants who have grounds management experience in an institutional environment and experience working with diverse populations.
