About the Medical Assistant / X-ray Tech

Upperline Health California is seeking a Medical Assistant / X-ray Tech to assist our podiatric physicians in delivering complex health services in the clinic setting at our practice. This person will be based at the Somerset office with rotation as needed to other offices. The Medical Assistant / X-ray Tech will be responsible for assisting the physician with a range of clinical and administrative office tasks. With varied responsibilities, candidates must be professional, motivated, reliable and flexible problem solvers who demonstrate compassion for patient needs. Recent MA graduates with a valid and current license looking for an opportunity to be trained and start their career are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant / X-ray Tech

  • Review of medical history and medication reconciliation into electronic charts in the EMR system

  • History of present illness intake

  • Ensure accurate charting for the physician

  • Assist the physicians with minor in-office procedures

  • Assist physicians with patient care including obtaining vitals, bandaging and DME fitting

  • Cleaning and maintaining treatment rooms and equipment including sterilization of instruments and sterile tray set up

    Qualifications of the Medical Assistant / X-ray Tech

  • Previous Medical Assistant experience or recent graduate with a valid /current license

  • X-ray Tech experience with a current Limited X-ray license is a must or obtaining in the next 3 months

  • Healthcare clinic experience is a plus

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology

  • Previous experience working in an EMR is preferred

  • Must be an effective communicator with excellent grammar and interpersonal skills

  • Exceptional customer service orientation featuring an empathetic, compassionate and professional demeanor with each interaction

  • Demonstrated experience as a reliable and dedicated co-worker with a stable work history

  • High school graduate required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

    Compensation

    Compensation is commensurate to compensation for similar positions in the region and based on prior training and experience.
