Robert Half Payroll Supervisor/Manager in South Windsor, Connecticut

Description Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Lead to join our team. The Payroll Lead will oversee all aspects of payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payments to employees. This role will involve managing payroll specialists, maintaining payroll records, and implementing payroll best practices to support our workforce effectively.

Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the payroll process from start to finish, including data entry, verification, and processing of payroll transactions.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.

Review and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.

Supervise payroll staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.

Collaborate with HR and finance teams to maintain employee records and resolve payroll-related issues.

Prepare payroll reports for management and auditors as required.

Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and technologies to improve efficiency and compliance.

Handle special projects related to payroll systems upgrades or process improvements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Strong understanding of payroll systems (ADP) and proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.

In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.

Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload effectively.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
