Description

The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Neonatal Nurse Practitioner will provide direct care to select patients at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital in collaboration with an attending Neonatologist as well as assisting in annually reviewing NNP protocols and instructing residents and NP students in DR resuscitation and NICU stabilization skills (e.g., NRP).

The Nurse Practitioner will provide direct care to patients at the Labor and Delivery Service and Nursery at Southampton Hospital. There are opportunities to participate in the care of patients in the NICU at Stony Brook Children's Hospital.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Master's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Nursing or completion of a course for Nurse Practitioner. Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. New York State license as a Nurse Practitioner. Minimum of one year of full-time clinical experience working in Pediatrics.Preferred Qualifications:
Five or more years of clinical experience working in Pediatrics.
