Aerotek Warehouse Worker in Southington, Connecticut

Description:

Aerotek is looking for Warehouse Associates in the Southington, CT area for an immediate job opening. This company specializes in the distribution of various aluminum, brass, copper, and stainless steel products such as plates, sheets, bars, tubes, and extrusions.

These Warehouse Associates will be working across different departments completing some of the following tasks:

  • Retrieve material according to work tickets and verifying location, size, alloy, quantities and heat/lot.

  • Measure material using calipers, micrometers and tape measures.

  • Deliver material to designated areas using a forklift, side loader, and overhead crane.

  • Constructing standard and non-standard crates, skids, and boxes using powered hand tools.

  • Preparing orders for shipment using scales and strapping equipment and applying appropriate shipping tags.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Warehouse or Production experience

  • Flexible to cross train and assist in multiple departments

  • Reliability and punctuality

  • Forklift operation experience is a plus
