*Pay: *$22.12 - 29.00 per hour, depending on experience

Job Summary
Select and process accurate documentation for a wide variety of international and domestic shipments, which include, but are not limited to: USMCA, Canadian Customs invoices, truck bills, airway bills, packing lists, commercial invoices, shippers Letter of Instruction, shipping export declarations, and Letters of Credit.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Dispatch carriers by phone, Internet or email
- Provide both internal and external freight quotations
- Establish and maintain working relationships with freight forwarders
- Coordinate with customers, customer service, freight forwarders, banks, and trucking companies to ensure compliance to contractual obligations
- Ensure documents are banked
- Track and monitor shipments
- Route paperwork for daily shipments
- Negotiate freight rates with carriers•Maintain accurate inventory records for lumber usage
- Identify and initiate product/process improvements
- Document work processes
- Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly
- Abide by company policies•In order to achieve business objectives, work weeks in excess of 40 hours may be required
- Serve as back-up to Shipping Team Members, forklift, crating and packaging
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum of two (2) years in shipping and/or product transportation
- Experience working with Letters of Credit preferred
- Possess current knowledge of international trade regulations, INCO terms and HS code systems
- Experience coordinating shipments with freight forwarders
- Excellent oral communication and telephone skills
- Understanding in Automated Export System preferred
