Northwest Farm Credit Services Accounting Intern in Spokane, Washington

We serve customers in 59 locations throughout the West. We are in search of an Accounting Intern to join our Controllers department in Spokane, Washington (Headquarters). This full-time position reports to the Manager, Accounting and is responsible for supporting the high-quality reporting of the organization's financial information. Compensation Information $21.00 per hour Job Requirements Assist with preparing or posting general ledger entries. Reconcile general ledger accounts. Assist with preparation of financial reporting supporting documents. Perform analysis of loan, general ledge and other financial information. Perform general corporate accounting functions as needed to support operations, including, but not limited to accounts payable, general ledger and fixed assets. Gather required information for internal and external auditors, management, and others. Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures and internal controls. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Junior or Senior status. Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Ag Economics, Ag Business or related field. Coursework related to Accounting and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP), creation of financial statements, and the analysis and reporting of financial transactions. Demonstrated communication, analytical and computer skills, and teamwork demonstrated through involvement in extracurricular activities and / o outside work experience.
