SUMMARY The Mortgage Learning Consultant works closely with all Mortgage departments and serves as a subject matter expert on training for all areas of the origination process with an emphasis on sales. This role is responsible for creating and delivering engaging training to both new hires and tenured employees to ensure successful knowledge and skill delivery. The Mortgage Learning Consultant will also oversee the administration of course evaluations while performing analysis to determine individual or departmental performance gaps and needs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: other duties may be assigned. Training across the Mortgage Department, for both new hires and ongoing, most prominently for the roles of Loan Processor and Loan Officer Training to include standard business practices (use of a CRM, use of internal technology, customer service skills, etc.) as well as technical industry training (how to close specific types of loans, how to use Encompass the way our company uses it, etc.) Coordinate with managers to determine training needs and schedule training sessions Coordinate with Compliance Department to develop and expand any training required to ensure ongoing compliance Design effective training programs and partner with Learning and Development to create and distribute materials. Design and develop learning solutions in a variety of delivery methods, including web-based e-learning courses, virtual synchronous sessions, classroom sessions, meeting kits, user guides, job aids, and various communications. Skilled in the use of presentation programs such as Microsoft Power Point, and virtual meeting programs such as Teams and Webex. Facilitate learning in both virtual and classroom delivery methods, focused on achieving program learning objectives through learner engagement. Assist in data auditing and monitoring to help identify additional training needs, per individual or per role, based on performance Conduct needs assessments and analyzes the training needs of the Sales and Processor Roles. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs by analyzing trainee feedback and ensure that the content of the training programs meets the business needs of First Interstate Bank. Evaluate trainee skills and workplace behavior (before and after training) and make recommendations. Possess a working knowledge of federal, state, and regulatory laws and policies, as well as internal credit policies, underwriting procedures, and audit standards. Keeps up to date
