Job Description
We are seeking skilled Lathe Machinists to join our team. The Machinist will be responsible for set-ups and change-overs on CNC Lathe & Hydromat machines. While programming is not required, the ability to perform program edits is essential.
Responsibilities
Set up and change over CNC Lathe & Hydromat machines.
Edit programs to initiate machine operations.
Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
Read and apply part specifications, work instructions, routings, and process control plan prints to determine dimensions, tolerances, and the number of parts.
Change and record tooling as specified on tool change charts.
Safely load specified bar stock into machines.
Collaborate with set-up personnel and engineering to solve machine problems when necessary.
Essential Skills
At least 3 years of CNC Lathe Set Up experience.
Ability to edit CNC programs on the machine.
Experience using calipers and micrometers.
Experience changing out fixtures.
Willingness to work overtime.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spring Lake, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
