Position Summary

The Senior Software Development Engineer will join the Data Management Development Team at CVS Health. Their mission is to simplify the collection, management, and dissemination of data to and for our consumers at a speed that exceeds expectations while maintaining exceptional security, quality, and integrity. To insure this, the Senior Software Development Engineer will help writes code, develop software components, and implements complex functionalities according to project requirements. Along with this, the Senior Software Development Engineer will design and define the technical architecture and infrastructure required for digital solutions.

The right candidate will also write and execute comprehensive test cases, conducts code reviews, performs debugging, and troubleshoots issues to ensure the reliability, stability, and high quality of digital solutions. The Senior Data Engineer will collaborate with other members of the development team and stakeholders to make high-level architectural decisions, proposes design patterns, and ensures scalability, performance, and maintainability of digital solutions.

What you will do

  • Leverage advanced programming skills to design and implement complex features, optimize performance, and ensure code efficiency

  • Integrate various software components or systems, ensuring seamless communication and interoperability between different parts of the digital solution

  • Participate in agile or other development methodologies, attends meetings, contributes to project planning, and helps drive the progress and success of digital projects

  • Explore new tools, frameworks, and techniques to improve digital solutions and drive innovation within the development team

  • Create and maintains technical documentation, including system designs, architecture diagrams, code documentation, and other relevant documentation while sharing their knowledge and expertise with team members, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and collaboration

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in data software development

  • 5+ years experience with SQL Server

  • 3+ years experience in DevSecOps

  • 3+ years experience with Windows

  • 1+ years experience with 24x7 on-call participation approximately every 6 weeks

  • Adept at business intelligence

Preferred Qualifications

  • .Net experience a plus

  • Agile experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (High School Diploma and 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$101,970.00 - $203,940.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
