Description
In Springfield (Union County) NJ: Our client - a boutique, highly specialized law practice representing some of the largest, as well as some of the smallest educational institutions in New Jersey - is searching for a Litigation Attorney, with exposure to Education law, to support their team on a primarily REMOTE basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position will primarily be to assist a lead attorney in preparing for several trials by:
preparing litigation chronologies,
responding to and propounding discovery
drafting motions,
keeping track of procedural deadlines with the assistance of a legal assistant,
creating trial exhibit and witness lists,
drafting post-hearing briefs
...and more.
(Note firm is flexible with remote work but if there is trial prep or other matters to be handled in the office. candidate will need to come in to their Springfield, NJ office. )
Requirements
• Applicant must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the legal field.
• Licensed attorney, with valid credentials.
• Education specialization ideal, Litigation exposure necessary
• Proficiency in trial preparation is necessary.
• Experience in handling exhibits during trial proceedings is essential.
• Must have a proven track record in drafting legal documents
• Flexibility for remote, but candidate must come in for trial prep, CPU access, etc.
