Insight Global Plant Project Manager in Spruce Pine, North Carolina
Job Description
One of Insight Global's industrial services partners is looking for a Project Manager to join their team. This company is in Houston, but this plant of their client is in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. This individual will be onsite 5 days a week at the recycled glass processing plant in Spruce Pine. They make glass dust that goes into fiber. It is an existing facility that needs a lot of maintenance (maintenance project work). This plant is heaving on the mining side. It is an MSHA site and this individual will be MSHA trained after starting the job. They need to be registed to work on this specific MSHA plant. The MSHA course is 40 hours. They may need to travel to the Houston office occasionally for meetings.
Working with local site team to develop scope of work documents suitable for execution by Engineering and/or Construction contractors.
Generating Scope & allocating work to engineers
Monitoring the engineering, fabrication, procurement, and execution phases of projects.
Shepherding projects through the clients stage gate system.
Monitoring cost and schedule performance for different projects.
Effectively communicating status updates to project stakeholders.

Skills and Requirements
-5-10+ years of experience as a Project Manager (Engineering background)
-Engineering degree
-Experience managing multiple small-cap/maintenance projects on an existing site (million dollar or less projects)
-Mining project experience
-MS Office (including MS Project)
-Bluebeam
-Industry experience: Solid handling experience or oil & gas
-Experience working in plants with conveyor belts, bucket loaders, front loaders, screeners, shakers, sulfur, etc. null
