POSITION: Human Resources Recruitment Specialist TYPE OF POSITION: Non-Represented Hourly, 12 month position Hours may vary based on program needs REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources SUPERVISION: None COMPENSATION: $22.50 - $28.50/hour depending on education and experience QUALIFICATIONS: Required Associate degree in Human Resources, Education, Business or related field and five (5) years of work-related experience or equivalent combination of work and education experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to recruitment and hiring. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in recruitment practices. Preferred Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools. Previous Human Resources and/or Recruiting experience POSITION SUMMARY: The Human Resources Recruitment Specialist is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and selecting high quality candidates for St. Cloud Area Schools. The position will have a particular focus on Paraeducators but will support in other areas as needed. The Specialist will post positions, seek both active and passive candidates, screen, interview, and recommend for hire. Additionally, the Specialist will verify Highly Qualified status including tracking those new hires that are not yet Highly Qualified until they have completed that process. This position will help support all new hires in the district through the onboarding process. This may include contacting candidates post-offer to hep them navigate the pre-board steps, scheduling orientation sessions, and communicating other steps in the onboarding process. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Responsible for the placement and coordination of job postings for internal and external communication including maintaining positions via District applicant tracking system (ATS) Reviews applicants via ATS and contacts selected candidates for interview Independently interviews potential candidates and makes recommendations to hire Utilizes relevant recruitment strategies, e.g. job boards, social media, job fairs, for recruitment of quality candidates Available to promptly answer questions from potential applicants about job postings and job duties Coordinates, attends and participates in District hiring events Attends and participates in job fairs, and recruiting sessions Facilitates the onboarding process for new hires including contacting candidates to make an offer of employment, assisting with the pre-board steps, scheduling for orientation, and serving as the new hires point of contact through their onboarding Tracks the Highly Qualified status of newly hired Paraeducators and follows each Para through until they have achieved HQ status Collect feedback from candidates and hiring managers to continually improve the recruitment process.
