Job Description:
Grounds Maintenance:
Ground maintenance includes but is not limited to the following:
Routine mowing and maintenance of grounds by mowing, string trimming, and weed pulling
Install, maintain, and repair all irrigation and sprinkler systems.
Maintain all of the garden beds throughout Whitney's campus through refuge pickup, weeding, edging and other means.
Continue trimming of palm trees and other arborist duties.
Facility Maintenance :
Maintenance to include but not limited to the following:
Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
Repair and maintenance of various office space to include, electrical and, plumbing fixtures.
Painting of various areas on Whitney campus as directed.
Maintains and repairs heating, air conditioning.
Complete PMs on various equipment
Basic fiber glassing and maintenance of marine tanks.
Assist the Events department with room arrangement that includes tables, chairs, and placement of other furniture based upon the direction of the Events Coordinator.
Custodial services –
- Custodial duties as needed and determine by Whitney needs; including the cleaning of Whitney cottages and after-facility events.
Expected Salary:
Expected starting salary $15.00 - $17.00 hourly, based on experience.

High school diploma or equivalent
