BUNZL Identity Access Management Engineer in St. Louis, Missouri

Description

Our company is searching for an Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer. The Identity & Access Management Engineer will be responsible for service ownership, operational support, and maintenance of identity systems (Ping Identity). The IAM Engineer will engage with business and IT teams to develop system improvement plans and platform updates based on demands and technology changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring adherence to Bunz’s IT security policies, standards, and procedures.

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining IAM technologies to ensure audit and privacy compliance, driving automation wherever possible.

  • Maintain system documentation and protocols for current and future systems

  • Engaging on request and incident resolution via Service Management ticketing system.

  • Partnering with other IT teams to expand identity platform integrations and improve system efficiencies focused on identity technologies.

  • Align with security architects, infrastructure SME’s, and industry vendors on all aspects of IAM.

  • Coach other members of organization on IAM best practices.

  • Participating in incident response, investigation, analysis, resolution, and reporting activities.

  • Maintaining technical expertise in IAM methodologies and industry trends. Develop platform update and improvement processes for life-cycle management, and application integrations.

  • Delivering and sustaining system-level policies and procedures. Engaging with Compliance team members to align with any changes in security standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

  • A minimum of 5 years of IAM system or application security experience

  • Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM) or Ping Identity certification preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to communicate identity and security related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff

  • Demonstrated success working with internal IT peers, external vendors and application teams

  • Strong experience with and detailed technical knowledge in Identity and Access technologies

  • Knowledge of IT industry trends and technologies including a working technical knowledge of current network and security standards

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems

  • Travel potential: Minimal

  • Hybrid/Remote position
