This position will provide distribution and inventory management of outreach materials for the Agriculture Marketing and Development Division (AMDD). AMDD distributes a wide variety of items, including Minnesota Grown marketing materials, Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom resource materials, Farmers Market Nutrition Program posters and supplies, Harvest of the Month promotional materials for schools, rural mental health promotional items, and general mailings.

This position will also sort and distribute incoming mail to division staff, track and maintain an accurate inventory of division outreach materials, compile and organize meeting materials, order supplies and provide general office support for the division.

This position is part-time and is anticipated to work 20 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications

To facilitate proper years of service crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held.

Data entry and data management skills sufficient to input data into a complex database with a very high level of accuracy and to retrieve data, run queries, and reports.

Knowledge of word processing and data entry software such as Microsoft Office programs sufficient to format, edit and create documents, correspondence, and reports.

Strong communication and customer service skills, including a demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely with proper business English, spelling, and grammar.

Ability to understand and apply oral and written work instructions for multi-step activities assigned by numerous division staff members.

The ability to celebrate diversity and a strong commitment to a respectful and inclusive work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree or Certification in office administration, office management or related field.

Experience working with farmers or other agricultural entities.

Experience fulfilling print orders and large mailings.

Experience providing customer service to the public or to internal clientele within an organization.

Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements

Ability to routinely lift and move boxes of up to 45 pounds.
