Robert Half Payroll Specialist in Stanton, Tennessee

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in Stanton, Tennessee for a Payroll Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, auditing, and ensuring the accuracy of payroll processing in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. You will be working within a telecom provider industry, utilizing various accounting software systems and maintaining a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the collection and input of time data from project managers into payroll software

• Oversee per diem and incentive calculations to ensure accuracy in payroll processing

• Conduct weekly audits of payroll information in spreadsheets to identify discrepancies

• Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

• Utilize accounting software systems including IBM AS/400 and Kronos Timekeeping System

• Collaborate with team members to resolve payroll-related issues

• Provide support and guidance to employees regarding payroll inquiries

• Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and best practices

• Perform other payroll-related tasks as required, including full cycle payroll and accounting operations

Skills:

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems, IBM AS/400, Kronos Timekeeping System

• Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration, About Time, Accounting Functions

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Full Cycle Payroll, Accounting operations. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with IBM AS/400

• Experience with Kronos Timekeeping System

• Knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration

• Proficiency in About Time software

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Full Cycle Payroll

• Experience with Accounting operations
