DeVine is a leading provider of Technical and Scientific solutions for Federal, State and commercial clients.
Our company is looking for an IT Specialist with experience in policy & business rules to join our team onsite at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. Current secret clearance is required and this is a part time role averaging about 20 hours per week. This position will be supporting a government customer, hence only US Citizens may apply.
The IT Specialist will join DeVine and collaborate with our customer in providing: technical support, administrative support and subject matter expertise to a Scientific (METOC) customer community
The successful hire will be the primary interface between various military IT portfolio managers. A main goal is for our customers to be compliant with all existing and emergent policy, guidance, instruction, business rules and processes. Additionally, requests and issues generated portfolio managers must be addressed and resolved in a timely manner to avoid impacts to their operations.

Example of Duties:
Perform research and record maintenance of METOC applications, systems, data and databases identified in US NAVY and DoD policies
Provide technical expertise on these applications, systems and the data and databases as well as emerging policy on DoD technology/policy being embraced such as cloud migration, DevSecOps and application rationalization
Work with customer representatives to address and resolve METOC IT portfolio management issues
Provide technical and administrative support to address emergent IT policy and strategy regarding applications, systems, data and databases.
Generate reports and conduct briefings regarding METOC IT applications and systems as needed to investigate issues and ensure compliance
Have an understanding of Commercial off-The Shelf (COTS), Government off-The Shelf (GOTS), and Open Source Software (OSS) applications required (including proposed applications) to the government for validation
Preferred experience and qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field such as Computer Science or Atmospheric Science required (Significant work experience with NAVY IT policy projects may be considered in lieu of degree)
2+ years' relevant work experience required, 4+ years' preferred
Knowledge and work experience with NAVY IT METOC systems desired
Excellent writing & communication skills required
U.S. Citizenship required
Current secret clearance or higher required
Security+ or higher/equivalent a plus

Compensation: $38 to $45 an hour pay range, DOE and skills
