United States Fleet Forces Command MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SPECIALIST in Stennis Space Center, Mississippi

Summary You will serve as a MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the Command Services Department (N1 &N3) of the Naval Oceanographic (NAVOCEANO) of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS. Responsibilities You will be responsible for supporting the primary operation of the department by coordinating, monitoring, and analyzing various projects and programs in multiple divisions. You will be responsible for providing key assistance to the Departments managers and supervisors in facilitating the performance of their management responsibilities. You will be responsible for serving as the Departments primary liaison with the Human Resource Office (HRO) on all matters relating to civilian personnel, Training Department, and Budget and Resources. You will be responsible for supporting multiple Division Directors on issues related budget, civilian personnel, position and organization structures, and administrative matters. You will be responsible for serving as a point of contact for authoritative information on administrative policies, procedures, and requirements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience advising Department personnel on a variety of substantive, procedural, and policy matters pertaining to recruitment, career ladder promotions, student employment programs, position management and classification, employee and management relations, employee entitlement and awards, and training. Experience coordinating requests for personnel action (RPA) and reviewing and advising managers on policy adherence for job analysis and crediting plans. Experience gathering budget requirements and presenting them to the director for approval as well as monitoring and analyzing monthly execution progress. Experience serving as Lead Organization Defense Travel Administrator (ODTA) by reviewing Defense Travel System (DTS) submissions for accuracy and completeness, tracking travel-related expenditures within budget, and giving guidance and training to DTS users. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience preparing position classification packages for department managers review and approval. Experience answering employee and applicant routine questions regarding eligibility, standing, new employee orientation, leave, physical requirements, performance management systems, incentive awards, and beneficial suggestion programs. Experience providing liaison with technical assistance to HRO (human resources office) personnel assistant to resolve personnel, pay, and leave-related issues and problems.
