Job Title: Team Leader

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Team Leader to support our operations team. The Team Leader will monitor the line for slow-downs, bottlenecks, or assist any employees needing help. This role requires becoming knowledgeable of all positions to effectively cover for restroom breaks or unexpected absences, accurately track all line production and rejects to ensure correct counts on finished parts, and may involve doing visual quality checks. The Team Leader will be responsible for arriving 15 minutes before other employees to prepare for the day and sending out daily emails with production numbers. This role is crucial in maintaining smooth and efficient production line operations.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 90 Day(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

Work Environment

This position operates in a clean and organized union environment, specifically on assembly lines and stamping presses. Team Leaders are non-union. Work hours are for the 1st shift from 6 am to 2/4 pm, and the 2nd shift from 2 pm to 10 pm, including some Saturdays each month, but no Sundays, averaging about 50 - 55 hours per week. Breaks include one 15-minute paid break and a 30-minute unpaid lunch. An additional 15-minute break is provided for shifts extending over 11 hours. The dress code requires closed-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, and a temporary yellow vest, which must be worn when entering the plant at the start of the shift. A 12-point attendance system is enforced, and awareness of local traffic conditions is essential for timely arrival, especially during rush hour for shifts starting at 6 pm.
