The College of Business at Stony Brook University invites applications for tenure track faculty positions in marketing beginning Fall 2025. Rank is Assistant Professor.

Responsibilities & Requirements:
The Assistant Professor will be responsible to successfully work on a college approved research program or other intellectual contributions that result in publications in top tier academic journals within Marketing as fits the research program of the Professor. These publications will serve to enhance the reputation of the College of Business at Stony Brook University. The selected candidate will be responsible for participation in college administrative and/or college committee assignments and to provide service to the Stony Brook University community. The successful incumbent will be responsible for teaching Digital Marketing Strategy, Marketing Analytics and other Marketing courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels and to contribute constructively to the ever-advancing quality of education.


All candidates are expected to teach in the areas of marketing, and to contribute to the services and professional missions of the College.Stony Brook University, one of America's most dynamic public universities, is New York's flagship university and No. 1 public

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) within the last 5 years (2019-2024) in Marketing. Evidence of ability to publish high quality research in elite business and interdisciplinary journals. Demonstrated or clear potential for excellent teaching in undergraduate and graduate marketing courses such as digital marketing strategy, marketing analytics, etc. Expertise in cutting-edge methodologies that could be leveraged to conduct research in these areas is highly desirable. The marketing area has a shared research interest in well-being and policy related issues, and an ideal candidate will have a demonstrated interest in these topics as well as quantitative expertise that could be leveraged for potential collaborations.

Candidates with a track record of and/or potential to publish not only in the most prestigious FT-50 marketing (consumer research, quantitative methods) journals (Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Consumer Psychology), but also in top-tier journals across other disciplines (e.g., management, operations, etc.) are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching quantitative/methodology
