JOB REQUIREMENTS: Are you someone that has a positive attitude, values teamwork, and has a passion for cooking? If yes, then come join our team of culinary professionals here at Skaalen! A Cook in a skilled nursing facility takes pride in providing a high level of meal satisfaction to keep our residents well nourished! Some basic job duties of the Cook will be preparing food daily, understanding dietary needs, ensuring safe food storage, record keeping, and ensuring compliance in all areas! An ideal Cook candidate will be: Well-rounded in providing a range of offerings from home-cooked meals, convenience foods, short-order meal options, and event meals Caring about the needs of senior nutrition Comfortable working independently Able to oversee staff in the absence of the manager Understanding in sanitation and cleanliness and Able to participate in upscaling recipes---for 100 residents per meal! A highly qualified candidate will have: A Serv-Safe Certification (required within 3 months) 3+ years culinary experience preferred Hours: Weekends with an 8:30a start time Job Type: Part-time Pay: \$17.00 per hour Benefits: Referral program Restaurant type: Casual dining restaurant Shift: 8 hour shift Day shift Weekly day range: Weekend availability Application Question(s): What is your email address?
