This position is virtual/remote which means the work can be completed from anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories.

The Senior Application Developer - Insights & Analytics will be responsible for all the cool stuff like design, development, and implementation of web and/or mobile applications. You will work across business functions to deliver high performing applications that are scalable as well as easy to maintain. You will also be responsible for applying your advanced technical knowledge, skills, and judgment to solve problems relating to outages, application performance issues, and specific user requests (basically, you get to save the day and be someone’s hero)!

Flexible Work Policy: The work for the Sr Application Developer position is completed 100% remotely anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories. This position may have the potential to travel up to 20% dependent on business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop detailed system requirement specifications and technical design documents for small, medium, and large business functions

  • Develop high-quality code and configurations for new applications, databases and interface programs; write unit test cases to verify correctness of functionality

  • Conduct and participate in code reviews as part of oversight into team delivery

  • Document code, FAQs, functionality, setup and support resolution processes

  • Develop, coordinate, and release application bug fixes

  • Provide application support (on-call rotation to work on resolving outages and questions)

  • Work with minimal supervision; provide regular status updates

  • Escalate roadblocks and other challenges to leadership as appropriate

  • Other duties as assigned by manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in Application Development or other relevant area.

  • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with Proficiency in the below listed technologies:

  • AWS and serverless computing (Lambda)

  • DevOps and continuous delivery principles and tools (CI/CD)

  • React/TypeScript

  • Relational databases/data warehouses (Snowflake)

  • And Familiarity with: Microservice architecture and cloud computing, Docker containers, Github/Bitbucket

  • Proven ability to design and implement web applications best practices

  • Proven ability to analyze and understand existing processes and code

  • Proven ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of management

  • Demonstrates excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

  • Must be a team player

  • Up to 5% of travel may be needed for business reasons

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science required

  • Proficiency in Amplify

  • Proficiency in dbt

The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. In Colorado, the expected compensation for this role is between $80,300 and $107,100. In New York, the expected compensation for this role is between $94,700 and $126,300. In California, the expected compensation for this role is between $90,000 and $120,000 . In Washington, the expected compensation for this role is between $90,000 and $120,000. This role is also eligible for annual incentive plan bonus.
