Actalent Plant Manager in Sturtevant, Wisconsin

Job Title: Plant ManagerJob Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Plant Manager to oversee our machine shop, fabrication shop, mechanical assembly, shipping, and receiving functions. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, ensuring efficient workflow and timely assembly, while addressing any challenges faced by the team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational oversight for machine shop, fabrication, mechanical assembly, shipping, and receiving functions.

  • Schedule workflow for parts to ensure timely assembly.

  • Assist and resolve equipment issues to maintain efficient operations.

  • Implement continuous improvement and cost optimization strategies.

  • Lead and develop a positive, productive team environment.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to meet operational goals.

  • Ensure safety, compliance, and housekeeping standards are met.

  • Manage resources and costs effectively.

  • Oversee fabrication supervisor, assembly supervisor, and maintenance of the building.

  • Promote a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in production and assembly processes.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage timelines.

  • Experience navigating an ERP system.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within an ETO organization.

Work Environment

The position is primarily office-based, but the ability to work in the shop is required. While interacting with the shop, the employee may be exposed to fumes, heat, and airborne particles. The noise level in the shop is moderately loud. Safety equipment, including safety glasses and safety toe work shoes, must be worn while in the shop. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $115000.00/hr.
